She contacted him via phone in the park, saying she had a headache and wanted him to come home. He was too focused on other things to accompany her to the park, which was likely an indirect cause of her fatal accident. As a result, the father feels regret and guilt.

In the Cursed Digicam game, images depicting Mitsuka submerged in water or trapped in objects frequently appear, symbolizing her being haunted and her desire for freedom. According to news reports, a girl went missing at 8pm, suggesting that her disappearance may be a more sinister event. As more pictures are taken, Mitsuka's soul transforms into a 'tall hybrid of her and the rat mascot', which appears terrifying and aggressive. The protagonist discovers disturbing remnants of Mitsuka's life, including fragments of rat drawings and bloody clothes scattered around her room.

The second memory video in Cursed Digicam reveals the truth about Mitsuka's death, which was actually her death at home after she fainted. Perhaps the player has been recording the wrong girl, as a missing person poster is seen in the game, showing the girl's name as Manami Koudan instead of Mitsuka.

Shockingly, it becomes clear that Manami Koudan was murdered by Mitsuka's father in an attempt to replace his lost daughter.

As events unfold, it is believed that he dressed up as a rat mascot to lure Manami Koudan, and then ultimately killed her. The father's actions stem from his great grief over the loss of Mitsuka; however, this guilt is exacerbated when he realizes that he has taken another innocent life.

Mitsuka chooses to call the police, and the game finally comes to an end. Cursed Digicam’s ending credits show that as sirens sound and the police arrive at his apartment, he chooses to commit suicide rather than face trial for his crimes—jumping from his balcony, followed by what appears to be Mitsuka’s spirit.
